Overview of Reported Results and Parliamentary Composition
The Myanmar General Elections Result (2025–2026) dashboard is an interactive product developed by COAR to provide a structured, accessible overview of reported electoral outcomes and parliamentary seat allocation in Myanmar. It consolidates available results at the national level and by chamber, and visualizes the geographic distribution of winning parties to support political analysis, operational planning, and governance-oriented decision-making.
Through multiple integrated views, the dashboard highlights:
- Aggregate composition of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Union Assembly)
- Chamber-level results for the Pyithu Hluttaw (People’s Assembly) and the Amyotha Hluttaw (National Assembly)
- Party rankings by votes, seats, and seat share
- Spatial distribution of winning parties by constituency
- Where applicable, comparisons by electoral system (first-past-the-post (FPTP) and proportional representation (PR))
Under Myanmar’s 2008 Constitution, 25% of seats in each Hluttaw are reserved for military-appointed MPs (i.e., non-elected Defence Services representatives nominated through the constitutional framework).
Terminology used in this dashboard follows common English renderings of parliamentary institutions:
- People’s Assembly is the literal translation of Pyithu Hluttaw (Pyithu meaning “people”).
- National Assembly is the literal translation of Amyotha Hluttaw (Amyotha meaning “national”).
The data are compiled from UEC and SSPC announcements, supplemented by open-source reporting and media outlets. The UEC (Union Election Commission) is Myanmar’s election management body, mandated to administer and supervise Hluttaw elections and related electoral processes. The SSPC (State Security and Peace Commission) is a state body formed in 2025 under the National Defence and Security Council (NDSC) to provide guidance and coordination for the conduct of the multi-party general election and related processes.
The dataset is updated on an irregular and context-driven basis, reflecting developments and the availability of verifiable reporting. The dashboard is not exhaustive; results should be interpreted as indicative and may be revised as additional information becomes available.
All geographic and administrative data, including boundaries, are indicative only and are based on MIMU sources (https://themimu.info). This product is for informational purposes only.
Note: The data presented in this dashboard are compiled from the most recent information available at the time of update. The data should be interpreted as near-real-time and may be subject to revision as additional or updated information becomes available.
