Weekly Analytics Hub (Myanmar)

Monitoring Conflict and Contextual Dynamics in Myanmar

The Weekly Analytics Hub is an interactive dashboard developed by COAR to provide timely, data-driven insights into the evolving situation in Myanmar. It brings together multiple thematic layers — including security incidents, governance disruptions, defection patterns, and basic commodity price fluctuations — to offer a comprehensive view of developments across the country since the 2021 military coup.

The dashboard enables users to explore:

  • Reported security incidents such as clashes, detentions, arson, and drone strikes
  • Impacts on civilians, infrastructure, and key civilian structures
  • Trends related to defections, arrests, including travel restrictions on Rohingya community in Myanmar
  • Regional shifts in essential commodity prices and access to basic services

The Weekly Analytics Hub combines quantitative reporting with geographic and thematic context to present a high-level snapshot of Myanmar’s rapidly evolving landscape. By integrating diverse data points across conflict, governance, and socioeconomic conditions, the dashboard enables users to identify patterns, monitor developments, and inform response strategies grounded in real-time trends.

This tool is intended to support humanitarian response, policy analysis, and operational planning by providing a visual, consolidated overview of Myanmar’s dynamic landscape. While based on the best available data, it may not capture all events and should be interpreted accordingly.

The dashboard is updated on a weekly basis or as required, depending on developments in the context in Myanmar.
